I did a lot of hand sketch typography for the project. I wanted the aesthetic to be human, rough and layered.

RSA Conference

Ok, I haven't posted in awhile.
I got really busy at work at cyberia.

Cyberia did the videos for the RSA 08 Conference this year. RSA is the foremost conference on IT security. This years featured person was the British cryptographer Alan Turing. For the Video, which i was the creative director & illustrator on, I did over 100 pencil rendering.

Turing is extremely interesting and a very complex english mathematician and cryptographer who was was vital to the allies winning WW2.

Children of Peace Documentary poster/logo

Here is a poster for a documentary on the Children of Peace. Its basically the logo.

The Bi-line:
This is the story of Binh Rybacki, a Vietnamese refugee, now an American citizen, who is fighting to save the forgotten children of Vietnam — the Children of Peace.

pretty cool. the original photo is by Karen Schuler and has become the base of the logo.

simple. bold. dramatic.

LEAVE NO SOLDIER MOVIE POSTER

Just finished this movie poster for a documentary called Leave No Soldier. The Movie concentrates on american soldiers and what they deal with when they get back from war. I was very happy with how the camulage in the red- white-blue came out.

Was insane drawing it though.

hand painted the logo with white out, used 3 bottles of the stuff, then composed bits and pieces in photoshop.


I think i'm going to do a small run of these on archival.

Random

A random sketch. All in ink. Kind of a mind fart. I'm one those people that is always always sketching or "scratching" as my high school art teacher called it.

I made a series of letterpress prints off of this one.

Snake Eyes

GO JOE!!

This was a sketch of Snake Eyes I did for another contest awhile back.

Like everyone, I always loved Snake Eyes, he was my fav. joe.

My top guy was Cobra Commander, but who doesn't love a ninja with a wolf as a pet?

ZEN Intergalatic Ninja

This got published in the back of an issue of ZEN.

I've always thought the name and concept on this one was a no brainer.

And the charecter is just plain cool looking.
